Gangland 55

With 55 volumes in the can, the Gangland series is getting rather long in the tooth, and somewhere along the way, they decided to dispense with the silly, badly acted setups that they used to use. That's too bad; those setups were one of the major differentiating factors that might help a scene stand out. In this iteration of the series, it's definitely by-the-numbers: three girls wearing three different school-themed outfits, in three separate scenes, all lasting half an hour and containing similar action. Each scene simply starts with the girl looking straight at the camera and waiting for a bunch of black guys to walk in and bang her. As a result of this near-total lack of creativity, this movie hinges almost entirely on the quality of the performers. Luckily, they did fairly well on that score.

The first scene stars brunette Claudia Rossi. She's attractive, she seems to enjoy what she's doing, she's fairly vocal, and she shows good passion and energy. After a few minutes of solo masturbation which starts to get a bit tedious, the scene starts up and follows the usual gangbang progression from blowjobs to a combination of vaginal, anal, and DP sex (not much of a surprise there), and she takes it all with aplomb. Best of all, the guys don't regale us with a lot of ghetto talk, and there's no abusive behaviour such as choking, face-slapping, spitting in faces, etc. The scene may not have much creativity, but it scores well in every other respect. It's also worth pointing out that they waste no time getting to the DP: the first one starts around 8 minutes in, and the scene lasts 33 minutes. I lost count of the number of times she got double-drilled (and damn if she didn't seem to enjoy it every time), which should make you DP fans happy. As for the rest of you ... well, this obviously isn't your kind of film. At any rate, I can see why they put Claudia on the box cover for this disc.

The second scene stars blonde Janet Alfano. Most of the comments I had about the previous scene can be equally applied to this one, except that there's some sloppy gagging blowjob action (which I don't care for), and it takes them longer to get to the anal/DP action. This scene more closely adheres to the industry standard of taking more than half the running time to get to the DP. And Janet is a pretty good performer, but she doesn't seem to enjoy it quite as much as Claudia did. So it's not a bad scene, but it's not as good as the first one either.

The third and final scene stars brunette Sheridan (yes, just one name). Once again, it's not bad, but it doesn't measure up to the first scene either. There is less gagging sloppy blowjob action compared to scene #2, but she doesn't enjoy the action quite as much as Claudia does, and they take quite a while to get to the DP.

In conclusion, this is not a bad movie, but nothing about it really stands out either, except for Claudia Rossi's performance. This girl either really loves getting multi-drilled by large cocks, or she's a superb actress. Otherwise, the film is rather uncreative, and the camera work and positions are fairly pedestrian: competent, but lacking in panache. However, the mostly inoffensive tone of the movie means that it still stacks up as a pretty good porno, particularly for those who like the gang-bang genre but not the aggressive tone that often accompanies it.
