L'Amour De Laure employs a simple plot device to get the ball rolling; Laure Sinclair is a love goddess, and she wanders the Earth in search of situations where she can use her powers to make people have sex. The first scene is Laure using her powers to wake up a sleeping couple and compel them to have sex, which they soon do.
For her second trick, Laure decides she wants a little action herself, so she pops in on an office building in the middle of the day, grabs the first guy passing by, hikes up her skirt and soon receives the gift of cock.
After this little pick-me-up, Laure decides to get back to work. She finds Anita, a young woman whose husband is cheating on her, and breaks the bad news. Naturally, we soon change scenes to see exactly what the husband is doing.
How to console a young woman whose husband is cheating on her? Well apparently, a little bit of cunnilingus helps.
Meanwhile, in the apartment below, two business executives and their wives are having a nice civilized dinner get-together, so Laure decides to use her powers on them. Pretty soon the clothes are coming off, and the two couples are exchanging a lot more than small-talk.
After this little excursion, we learn that Anita has a plan to get back at her cheating husband. Will she stab him as he sleeps? Will she poison his drink? Nope. She'll punish him by ... having sex with him. Someone will have to explain to me how this constitutes punishment. Partway through their lovemaking session, Laure suddenly appears in their bedroom and joins in the fun. Ahhh, so this is how Anita punishes her husband: by giving him a menage a trois with herself and Laure Sinclair! All women should resolve marital conflicts this way.
It seems that Laure has taken a liking to the city now, and wants to live here. So she grabs the want ads and applies for a job. Naturally, this leads to ... a job interview. A porno job interview which, much like a porno pizza delivery, can only mean one thing.
Apparently she wasn't too impressed by the guy who "interviewed" her, because she promptly disappeared and went invisible again. Looks like she decided to visit the nearest horny couple and watch them get it on. This scene screams "throwaway scene" but it's fairly well-done, albeit short.
At this point, Laure's desire to see and experience sex leads her to become a streetwalker, and guess what: the first John that drives up is ... Anita's cheating husband! Looks like he's still cheating, despite the "punishment" Anita inflicted upon him. Gee, what a shock. Laure doesn't seem too offended though, judging by the way she eagerly sucks his cock and then bends over for him.
In fact, not only does she have sex with him, but she arranges to meet him and one of his friends later, and she even agrees to bring two friends! She doesn't seem too concerned about how Anita might react to all of this, and neither does Anita's husband.
In fact, Anita doesn't figure into the story at all any more, and the movie ends with this mini-orgy. I have to say that while this film was well-done, competently directed, and filled with generally good-looking and enthusiastic performers, it is hobbled by a plot that makes no fucking sense at all, and by a preponderance of short scenes rather than a few long ones. This seems to be a bit of a Marc Dorcel trademark so I suppose one must get used to it if you want the kind of quality production that he generally brings to the table (not to mention the fact that it's generally devoid of the slapping, choking, spitting, and otherwise misogynistic bullshit that is all too common in American porn nowadays).
Final verdict: still a good film despite its flaws. Good-looking, enthusiastic performers and good direction can make up for a lot of weaknesses.
