Payback is billed as "The Evolution of the Gangbang", but I don't see what's particularly evolved about it. It starts with a few flashbacks and a bit of exposition about how Selena Silver's character started conning people with her partner and lover, played by Katrina Kraven.

It seems that one of their "marks" has tracked them down and come to collect what they stole from him, so he smacks Katrina around until she gives up Selena Silver by way of payment.

"Payment", of course, means that he and his friends will gang-fuck the shit out of her, and the resulting gangbang is therefore portrayed as a decidedly non-consensual affair. The scene is designed to make it appear as if the men are enjoying themselves but she most certainly is not, and that portrayal is fairly convincing, if only by the way she is constantly made to choke and gag on their cocks. The camera work makes a point of focusing on this forced oral sex whenever possible, complete with the sound of Selena struggling for breath and occasionally choking. At the end of the scene you can see her crying. Yippee ... is this supposed to be erotic to anyone? Seriously, who are the people who get off on this? I found this film so annoying that I gave it away for free.

The second scene is Katrina's own gangbang, as she voluntarily gives it up to the thug and his friends in order to pay off her debts. Apparently this actually happened before the first gangbang scene, because the whole film is a series of out-of-sequence flashbacks. Frankly, I find that technique irritating even when a highly skilled operator like Quentin Tarantino does it, but it's even more annoying here.

All in all, the film is grossly misogynistic, and cannot be enjoyed for that reason unless you yourself are a misogynist. The sex scenes are consciously intended to portray the two women being gang-fucked by men in such a manner that they derive no pleasure at all from it because they're being coerced. But in the end, the film is just abusive. It abuses not only its characters, but also the audience. And as if that's not enough, it ends by proclaiming itself to be a "tragedy" with a moral message. Not only is this a bad film, and not only is it offensive, but it's pretentious too.
